Since the inception of Otafest Aurora, the gala has been the most popular event at our winter convention. By purchasing a gala pass, you will be able to experience the magic of Calgary’s winter anime festival during the day and in the evening, you will join us for a buffet dinner and dance featuring a variety of food options (including vegetarian), dessert, and coffee. After dinner, you can take to the dance floor and enjoy a wide variety of slow and fast music with holiday and anime songs.
There is no dress code for the gala, however we encourage you to wear your best! We would love to see you in a shirt and tie or a gown! Cosplay is also encouraged and we would love if you used your imagination to dress it up! For example, putting a tie on Link’s costume would make him look more formal. The nicer you dress, the more fun it will be for everyone!
As our gala pass is very popular, we recommend you purchase your pass prior to the event. In the event we do have any tickets left they will be available at the door.
